About the Club

Coffs Harbour Swimming Club is a Swimming NSW affiliated club which operates from the Coffs Harbour War Memorial Olympic Pool from October through to the following September each year.

Club nights commence weekly from October and conclude in March in the Summer season in the 50m outdoor pool and monthly from April to September in the 25m indoor pool.

Swim Club is a great place to make new friends and a fun way to gain confidence in competing in the pool. Club nights provide swimmers with race practice and are held on Friday evenings (see club calendar) culminating in the Club Champs. Swimmers are requested to arrive at the pool no later than 5.45pm as marshalling will commence, timekeepers be called and racing will kick off at 6pm.

The 25m indoor pool is utilised for Novice swimmers from 4 years up eventually graduating to the 50m pool.

Competitors swim against the clock and times are recorded weekly. Points are awarded for swimmers who achieve a "Club Night" personal best time. The point score is tallied over the season and trophies and certificates are awarded at Club Presentation Night.

Club nights provide a great opportunity for parents as well. As well as meeting other parents they can participate and learn the roles of time keeping, marshalling and starting.

The Club Night BBQ is extremely popular and operates with the assistance of parents.

Please feel free to contact the club for more information or come along to the club nights where new members are always welcome.
